Government Better Service Delivery Panel selects Athena Software as Preferred Supplier for use by human services agencies in NSW, Australia

Athena Software (www.athenasoftware.net) is pleased to announce its client management system has been approved by the New South Wales Government Preferred Supplier Panel. The fully integrated case management and client information solution will be used by the New South Wales Human Services Better Service Delivery Program (http://bsdp.hsnet.nsw.gov.au) to help welfare and community agencies share information and improve services to clients. The Program makes use of Internet technology to provide agencies with the tools to communicate with one another, to provide faster, more accurate referrals and to work with clients more effectively.

Hyro, a strategic partner for Athena products and services in Australia, selected Athena’s client management software (www.athenasoftware.net) as the best solution to offer the New South Wales human services sector. The human service sector in New South Wales is made up of approximately nine government departments and many thousands of non-government organizations (NGOs). These organizations work to maintain or improve the well being of communities and people.

Hyro has previously supplied to the New South Wales Government ServiceLink and ReferralLink. ServiceLink is a directory of NGOs and the services they provide, and enables NGOs to make more accurate referrals. ReferralLink manages the electronic referral of clients between NGOs and Government departments, and is also being applied in the critical area of electronic reporting of suspected cases of child abuse.
